Man (59) charged after £1.25million worth of drugs seized at Larne Port

Police have charged a 59-year-old man with possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.


The man - who is also charged with possession of criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place - is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 20 December.


The charges are in relation to a large drug find in the Larne Harbour area on Friday, 17 December, estimated to be worth around £1.25million.


As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
