Man (32) charged after police seize cocaine and heroin in Ballymena

Officers from Ballymena District Support Team have charged a 32-year-old man with drugs offences including attempting to import a controlled drug and possession of a class A controlled drug.
The charges relate to the seizure of suspected heroin following a proactive policing operation conducted by officers in the Ballymena area yesterday, Monday 17 January.
A search of a property resulted in a quantity of suspected cocaine and heroin being seized. A number of electronic devices and cash were also recovered during the investigation.
He is due to appear before Antrim Magistrates’ Court via videolink today, Tuesday, January 18th.
As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A 42 year-old-woman arrested as part of the same operation on suspicion of various drugs offences has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
