Hallowena 2023 hailed a spooktacular success as over 9,000 fill People’s Park

A thrilling fireworks display capped off another fa-boo-lous Hallowena in Ballymena on Friday night!

Over 9,000 residents made their way to People's Park for one of the scariest nights of the year.

The free event had a packed programme of entertainment for all the little pumpkins to enjoy including a lively performance by The Reilly's band, an illuminated tree walk featuring spooky fairy tale characters from C21 Theatre Troupe, kids fun fair, a fangtastic fire poi show, creepy creatures, a kiddies Halloween disco, fancy dress competition for all ages and a range of street food from local providers.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna, said:


“The Hallowena celebrations are always among the most popular on Council’s entertainment programme.


“There was something for the little ghosts and goblins to enjoy in the stunning surroundings of People’s Park in Ballymena. It was a thrilling event and Council wishes to thank all the content providers and residents for making it such an enjoyable night.”
