Habitat ReStore says support local!

ReStore manager Isobel Kerr with volunteer Isabella)

Ballymena charity store, Habitat ReStore is encouraging local people to support your local reuse charity this Black Friday!

Now in its third year, Buy Nothing New Day (Friday 27th November) is the ethical alternative to Black Friday. Instead of buying new items this Black Friday, pledge to buy from your local reuse charity.

Habitat ReStore is a social enterprise which sells donated new and used building and home improvement material and provides volunteering opportunities for people of all backgrounds and abilities; improving wellbeing and building confidence for employment.

The shop and donation centre are open 9.30am-5pm, Monday – Saturday at Bridge Park, Ballymena.

Social enterprise retail outlets like ReStore make a difference, by helping low-income households live better by giving them access to fairly priced goods.

They also tackle social exclusion by providing training and volunteering opportunities so that more people can get back to work and positively contributing to their communities. As well, they combat climate change by reducing carbon emissions, cutting waste and diverting tons of material from landfill.

For further information call into ReStore, follow ‘Habitat ReStore Ballymena’ on Facebook or call 028 2565 3243.
