Gray’s Boutique Hotel & Brasserie in Bushmills
Gray’s Boutique Hotel & Brasserie in Bushmills has announced the appointment of Andrew Orr as its new Hotel General Manager, marking an exciting new chapter for the elegant Causeway Coast destination.
With more than three decades of experience in hospitality management, operations, and team leadership, Andrew joins Gray’s with a strong track record of success across the hotel and restaurant sectors.
In his new role, he will oversee the continued development of Gray’s as a leading luxury retreat and dining destination, while guiding its planned expansion in the months ahead.
Andrew, who has lived locally since 2006, will play a key role in strengthening Gray’s position as a standout venue for guests and residents alike.
A Legacy of Hospitality on the Causeway Coast
Perched on a hillcrest overlooking the Causeway Coast, Gray’s at Bushmills offers a refined experience that blends Irish hospitality with timeless comfort and style. With seventeen individually styled bedrooms, a renowned Brasserie, and stunning coastal views, the hotel has earned a reputation for excellence in both accommodation and cuisine.
Gray’s carries a deeply personal heritage. Named after Ellen “Nellie” Gray, grandmother of the current proprietor, the hotel pays tribute to Nellie’s enduring love for the Causeway Coast, its people, and its spirit.
Born near Randalstown in 1901, Nellie spent countless happy days in Portstewart, Portrush, and Bushmills, returning time and again to enjoy the warmth and beauty of the region.
That affection lives on through Gray’s, which continues to celebrate her legacy while offering guests a modern, welcoming escape at 306 Whitepark Road, Bushmills (BT57 8SL).
Andrew Orr: A Proven Leader in Hospitality
Andrew Orr brings with him a wealth of industry experience, including senior roles at Whitbread’s Premier Inn brand, Dobbies Garden Centres, and respected Northern Ireland establishments such as the Marine Hotel Ballycastle, Hastings Hotels, and Clandeboye Lodge Hotel.
Most recently, as Hospitality Manager at Dobbies Garden Centres, Andrew led the recruitment, training, and operational setup of a 500-cover dining and coffee shop concept at the UK’s largest Dobbies in Antrim.
His tenure at Whitbread saw him oversee multiple hotel and restaurant sites across Northern Ireland, where he developed large teams and drove commercial success.
Known for his strategic vision and hands-on leadership style, Andrew is deeply committed to team development, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. His skill set spans food safety, risk management, financial performance, and an unwavering focus on quality.
