Glentoran and Cliftonville set for Women’s Challenge Cup Final showdown live on BBC

Tuesday 27 October 2026
Glentoran Women and Cliftonville Ladies will go head-to-head tonight (Tuesday 27 October) in the Women’s Challenge Cup Final, with football fans across Northern Ireland able to watch the action live on BBC Sport NI.
The final takes place at the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park, Belfast, with kick-off at 7.30pm. Coverage begins at 7.15pm on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport NI website.
Defending champions Cliftonville will be looking to retain the trophy against Glentoran, the most successful club in the competition’s history.
Cliftonville chasing another trophy
The Reds enter the final having already secured the Women’s Premiership title and will be hoping to add another major trophy to their collection.
Cliftonville also have the advantage of winning the sides’ most recent meeting, beating Glentoran 4-1 in the final match of the league season earlier this month.
However, the Glens will be determined to reverse that result and add to their impressive Challenge Cup record.
How the teams reached the final
Both clubs came through their semi-final ties to set up tonight’s encounter.
Glentoran secured their place with a narrow 1-0 victory over Lisburn Ladies, while Cliftonville produced a convincing 3-0 win against north Belfast rivals Crusaders Strikers.
The results have set up another meeting between two of the leading sides in Northern Ireland women’s football, with silverware on the line.
