Galgorm becomes latest sponsor of this year’s Armoy Road Races

GALGORM, Northern Ireland’s most luxurious resort, has been announced as the latest sponsor of this year’s Armoy Road Races, which take place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th July.

Sponsoring the Supertwins race, Galgorm was delighted to get involved in this year’s road races, particularly when Armoy is only a short distance from the hotel.

Speaking about the sponsorship of the Races, Beth Greenan, Head of Sales and Marketing at Galgorm said:

“The Armoy Road Races has cemented its position as one of Northern Ireland’s greatest ever road races and it has put the region firmly on the road racing map. Here at Galgorm, we are proud to contribute to our local society through sponsorship of local organisations that have a positive impact in the community, so when the opportunity to support this year’s races came up, we had no hesitation in agreeing. We wish all riders and organisers the best of luck for this year’s event.”

Clerk of the course, Bill Kennedy, said:

“We are delighted to have Galgorm on board as one of our sponsors this year, adding to the list of high profile sponsors that we already have. We would like to extend our thanks to Colin Johnston, Beth Greenan and the team at Galgorm and we look forward to welcoming them to Armoy.

“The Supertwins races is always a hotly contested race. Last year we saw Derek [McGee] set a new lap record on Ryan Farquhar’s KMR Kawasaki. I don’t expect this year’s race to be any different given some of the entries.”

This year’s event, which has received funding from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, will also see the Bayview Hotel, Portballintrae return as title sponsor for the 13th year.

This event is enabled by funding from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. For more information about the Armoy Road Races and the Bayview Hotel Race of Legends, visit the website: www.armoyroadraces.com search for AMRRC on Facebook or follow on Twitter @ArmoyRoadRaces.
