Royal Black Institution parade set for Ballymena

The Royal Black Ballymena District are set to march through the streets of Ballymena this weekend for their annual ‘Last Saturday’ parade. The procession will leave Ballee playing fields on Saturday (28 August) at 12.30pm.

Police have advised motorists to expect disruption as the parade makes its way through Harryville and the town centre. A spokesperson commented:

“A parade will take place in Ballymena on Saturday leading to traffic delays between 11.30am and 3.30pm. The parade will leave Ballee playing fields at 12.30pm and make its way around the town centre. Three bands will break off at Wakehurst Road and the remainder of the parade will continue back to the playing fields. Motorists are advised to plan their journey accordingly.”
