Young anglers are being offered a free evening of fishing at Kilgad Lakes near Ballymena as a local club brings its summer programme to a close.
Kells, Connor and Glenwherry Angling Club has exclusively booked the lakes from 5pm to 9pm, on Wednesday 19 August, allowing its junior members to fish free of charge.
Equipment available for beginners
All junior anglers are welcome, and anyone who is not already a member can apply to join the club on the night.
Fishing tackle can also be supplied where required, making the event accessible to children and young people who have never tried the sport or do not have their own equipment.
Junior membership is free for children aged under 14, while membership costs £10 for those aged under 18.

During the first evening, 28 young anglers took part, with several catching their first fish.
Ray McKeeman and the Ulster Angling Federation supported the session by providing casting instruction as well as rods and reels for participants.
