Crews from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) are battling a large gorse fire on Cavehill, County Antrim, this evening (Wednesday 27 April).
As daylight fades a line of fire can be seen burning across the hill with smoke billowing into the evening skies.
A spokesperson for NIFRS commented:
“We are currently in attendance at a gorse fire on Cavehill and two appliances are in attendance.
"We would like to ask local residents to stay away from the area and to keep their doors and windows closed until the incident is resolved."
