Festive fun for all the family this weekend in Broughshane

This weekend is set to bring light, laughter and lots of festive family fun to Broughshane as the village begins its countdown to Christmas 2022.

Organised by Broughshane and District Community Association, in partnership with key sponsors and Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, the much-anticipated community event will be held on Saturday 26 November at Houstons Mill, between 3pm and 7pm.

There's sure to be something for everyone with the Christmas Family Fair, featuring a food and craft market full of local produce and creations. The children certainly will not want to miss Rudolph's Christmas Petting Zoo, or visiting Father Christmas in Santa's Winter Wonderland!

With possible postal strikes in December, all good boys and girls from Broughshane will have the chance to meet Santa Claus and give him their toy list. He will be bringing his very own Christmas post box with him!

Please ensure you address your letter to :

Santa Claus,

Santa's Grotto,

XM4 5HQ.

Santa and Mrs Claus invite all children with additional needs to visit them at Houston’s Mill for a special visit between 3pm and 3.30pm.

Mrs Claus will be baking in her kitchen and Santa will be sitting by the fire planning his Christmas deliveries.

Noise and stimulation will be minimised to ensure that everyone enjoys the experience. There is no need to pre-book but all enquiries should be sent to

Wrap up warm and enjoy the festive feels as Ballyduff Silver Band play a selection of traditional Christmas music.

A Children's Illuminated Pedal Power Parade will begin in the village at 5.15pm, starting from the car park at 1st Broughshane Presbyterian Church. Boys and girls of all ages will make their way up Main Street on their illuminated and decorated their pedal-driven tractors, diggers, cars and bicycles!

Broughshane's Christmas Lights will be switched on by SANTA CLAUS at 6pm.

Enjoy making special seasonal memories with friends, family and the community this weekend as Christmas arrives in Broughshane.
