Festive feasts by Jenny Bristow showcase Mid and East Antrim’s finest foods

Mid and East Antrim’s queen of cuisine Jenny Bristow will share her top tips for a fantastic festive feast as part of council’s Christmas campaign.

The award-winning chef from Cullybackey will serve up expert advice, guidance and personal recipes to help residents cook cracking Christmas dishes.

Jenny, who is Ireland’s good food ambassador, will be using produce sourced from the borough’s extensive and booming agri-food industry.

The celebrity chef invites the public into her kitchen for a culinary masterclass as she prepares three of her favourite Christmas offerings, with Jenny providing a step-by-step guide to getting it just right this year when it comes to delicious festive fayre.

A series of short videos from the cookery demonstrations will be shared on Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s social media accounts in the run-up to Christmas.

Jenny said: “I’m delighted to be working alongside Mid and East Antrim Borough Council again to encourage local people to shop locally and safely this Christmas. I am a massive advocate of the world-class produce we have right here on our doorstep.

“Mid and East Antrim is such a wide and diverse area, and our food and drink reflects that. We have a wealth of wonderful produce to choose from, all supplied by local farmers, growers and fishermen.”

Among the local produce set to feature in Jenny’s cookery classes are Glenarm Organic Salmon, Ballygarvey Eggs, RJ Cherry & Son Pak Choi and Camran Marshmallows. She will also be using foraged flavoursome nuts and berries.
