Families invited as Christmas on Castle Street returns to Ballymena Elim for a fun-filled festive day

Christmas on Castle Street is set to make a joyful return to Ballymena Elim on Saturday 6 December 2025, offering a warm and welcoming festive celebration for families across the borough.
Running from 12 noon to 5pm, the much-loved community event promises a packed programme of activities — and best of all, every attraction is completely free.
Pastor Pip Kerr said the church was “delighted to once again open our doors to the community for what we truly believe is the most fun-filled, festive day out for all the family”.
A Festive Experience for All Ages

One of the highlights of the day will be The Bethlehem Experience, an immersive walk-through tour that invites visitors to step back in time and follow Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem.
With free tours running throughout the afternoon, families will have the chance to meet shepherds, wise men and angels while discovering the story at the heart of Christmas. Booking is available on arrival.
Pastor Pip Kerr added:
“Families can step back in time, follow the star and join Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem,” describing the experience as “a truly remarkable walk-through tour”.
Shop Local at the Indoor Christmas Market
Visitors can also browse a bustling Christmas Market showcasing a variety of festive gifts, handmade crafts and seasonal treats — perfect for ticking off Christmas shopping under one roof.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to take the hassle out of your Christmas shopping,” Pastor Pip Kerr said, encouraging families to explore the local artisan stalls.
Free BBQ and Family Fun Throughout the Afternoon
Families can also enjoy a free BBQ serving warm burgers and hot dogs — ideal for a crisp December afternoon.
