Northern Ireland will gain a new direct air link to Scotland next winter after easyJet announced it will launch flights between Belfast International Airport and Aberdeen.

The new service, which begins on 4 January, will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, with easyJet becoming the only airline to offer a direct connection between the two cities.

The route is one of three new winter services unveiled by easyJet on Wednesday, alongside a new Bristol–Strasbourg route and the relaunch of flights between London Luton and Pristina in Kosovo.

Greater choice for Northern Ireland travellers

The new Belfast–Aberdeen service strengthens domestic air links between Northern Ireland and Scotland, providing another option for business and leisure travellers heading in either direction.

The airline said seats are now on sale, with fares starting from £18.99.

Holidaymaker packages are also available through easyJet Holidays for travel to both Aberdeen and Belfast, combining flights and accommodation.

Three new winter routes

Alongside the Belfast announcement, easyJet confirmed it will introduce a new Bristol–Strasbourg service from 20 November, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. The airline will become the only carrier offering a direct connection on the route, providing access to the French city, widely known as the “Capital of Christmas”.

Package holidays to Strasbourg are also available, with three-night breaks starting from £268 per person, including flights and hotel.

The airline is also relaunching flights between the UK and Pristina, Kosovo, with a new route from London Luton beginning on 7 December. The service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, offering direct access to the Balkan destination for winter travellers.

Airline says routes expand customer choice

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said:

“We are pleased to be launching three new routes from our UK airports for this winter, including our first route from the UK to Kosovo.

“We are committed to providing our customers with greater choice and these new routes offer travellers convenient access for a winter break in two European destinations as well as expanding domestic connectivity between Northern Ireland and Scotland.”

Flights on all three routes are available to book now through easyJet’s website and mobile app.
