After being ‘on hold’ for the past two years, Antrim Festival Group is back and the fundraising flagship event - the fundraising Festival in the Park - is taking place today (Sunday 12 June) at Antrim Castle Gardens.
In what is sure to be a brilliant day out, organisers have promised ‘entertainment for all’. There is plenty of activities for old and young alike with bouncy slides and castles, dedicated toddler zone, bar tent, hot food and drinks, pet show, axe throwing, artisan food and craft marquee, and more!
Music on the main stage from 12 noon will include Jake Carter and Band, Diva Dolls, Copper Blue and others.
Fundraising Sunday passes only cost £10 each and kids under 12 years old are FREE! Gates open at 11am and you can come and go as you please! Once in the gates all activities and entertainment is free.
All proceeds raised will benefit St John Ambulance - Antrim Unit.
Chair of Antrim Festival Group, Peter Dalton said:
"This year we are asking the good people of the borough and beyond to give us their support in raising money to buy a new ambulance for St. John Antrim Unit... Together we can support this vital service and St. John volunteers - we offer a day for the whole family to remember."
With help from the community, the group managed to raise an amazing £6,235 at the AFG Frightfest Halloween event in October last year, all in support of their fellow volunteers at St John Ambulance in Antrim!
