Linzi Moore, an outstanding team member at EUROSPAR Cullybackey has taken the crown as the UK’s Sales Colleague of the Year at the prestigious Convenience Awards.
A familiar face in Cullybackey has earned national recognition after being crowned UK Sales Colleague of the Year at the prestigious Convenience Awards in Liverpool.
Linzi Moore, a loss prevention co-ordinator at EUROSPAR Cullybackey, secured the top honour against competitors from across the UK — a moment that not only celebrates her 28 years of service, but also shines a spotlight on the powerful role local retail staff play at the heart of their communities
A career built on commitment and care
Linzi’s journey began on the shop floor as a customer advisor, progressing through the ranks to team leader and now her current role in loss prevention. Along the way, she has become a cornerstone of the store — known not just for her professionalism, but for her unwavering dedication to people.
Judges praised her “unwavering patience and knowledge”, while colleagues described her as honest, caring and exceptionally hard-working — someone who consistently goes above and beyond.
Her influence stretches far beyond her job description. Linzi regularly trains staff from other stores, supports new managers as they settle into their roles, and shares her extensive knowledge to help colleagues grow in confidence and capability.
A familiar face at the heart of the community
For many in Cullybackey, Linzi is more than a member of staff — she’s part of daily life. Her friendly presence is often cited as one of the reasons customers keep coming back.
But it’s her commitment outside the store that truly sets her apart.
Linzi has been instrumental in building relationships with local charities and organisations, helping to organise fundraising initiatives and community events that have made a tangible difference.
Her efforts include raising more than £500 for Cancer Fund for Children and over £1,200 for Community Rescue Service and Air Ambulance NI. She has also led local litter picks and regularly goes out of her way to support elderly customers — even delivering groceries to their homes in her own time after work.
Recognition for going the extra mile
George Rankin, Retail Director at Henderson Group, said Linzi’s impact reaches far beyond the shop floor.
“Good customer service is what our shoppers will always remember after visiting one of our stores, and Linzi ensures the community of Cullybackey will do just that.
“It is clear that Linzi always goes the extra mile for the local community and her exceptional work throughout EUROSPAR Cullybackey and beyond is so appreciated by all. We all send our congratulations to Linzi!”
A win that reflects the community
Linzi’s award is not just a personal achievement — it’s a reflection of the close-knit relationship between EUROSPAR Cullybackey and the people it serves.
In a role often taken for granted, her story highlights how dedication, kindness and community spirit can leave a lasting impact — one interaction at a time.
