Court heard man had no money in account to pay insurance

A court heard how a man caught with no insurance said the fault was due to having no money in his account so the insurance company could not withdraw the funds.

Simon Rae of Brookfield Gardens appeared before Ballymena Court this morning sitting in Antrim.

Rae was charged with using a motor vehicle without insurance on the 18 July this year in the Trostan Avenue area of Ballymena.

He was fined £200 and given 6 penalty points.

The Judge warned Rae that he had now 9 points and if he got 3 more he would lose his license.
