Council approval for new trails at Bracknamuckley Forest welcomed

Upgrading works on 2.6km of forest trails for walkers and cyclists at Bracknamuckley Forest, Portglenone, has been approved today at Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s Planning Committee meeting.

Local TUV Councillor, Alderman Stewart McDonald welcomed the green light for the works saying the development will help create an invaluable asset for the community:

“I greatly welcome approval for the upgrading of forest trails and the development of new trails in Bracknamuckley Forest, Portglenone.

TUV Alderman Stewart McDonald

“Most of the paths already exist, albeit in some cases in an informal manner. Now 2.6km of off road gravel trail is going to be developed to accommodate walkers and cyclists.

“This will be an invaluable asset to the local community and I have no doubt that many happy memories will be created in the minds of young and old alike as a result of the development.”
