BBC Children in Need’s 2025 Northern Ireland programme will shine a spotlight on inspirational young people and the projects supporting them, with Holly Hamilton and Connor Phillips joining Pudsey Bear to host this year’s special broadcast.

Dedicated regional promgramme – BBC Children in Need In Northern Ireland – broadcasts Sunday 16 November at 4:05pm on BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC iPlayer.

This year’s presenters, Holly Hamilton and Connor Phillips, take viewers on a journey to meet some of the local children, young people and community groups who benefit from the charity’s support.

Their visits include Muckamore Parish Development Association in Antrim, Youth First in Derry, and Women’stec in Belfast, where they hear first-hand how funding is transforming lives.

The programme also features heartfelt moments from Omagh as Pudsey travels to the Ulster American Folk Park and the Glenpark Estate to enjoy special performances from the Children in Need choir.

Pupils from four local Omagh schools unite to sing Bruno Mars’ “Count On Me” and “A Friend Like You”, accompanied by Irish country star Claudia Buckley.

Listeners of BBC Radio Ulster will find out whether presenters Cate Conway and Connor Phillips succeeded in completing their ambitious challenge: walking 25 miles from Portadown to Newry as Northern Ireland’s contribution to BBC Radio’s three-legged Thousand Mile Challenge.

BBC Children in Need continues to make a significant impact across Northern Ireland. Last year’s national on-the-night total reached £39.2 million, while 152 projects across Northern Ireland currently receive funding worth more than £5.8 million, supporting 51,000 children and young people.
