Centenary Way officially opened at Sixmilewater River Park
A £500,000 improvement scheme has been unveiled at Sixmilewater River Park in Ballyclare.
The new entrance scheme, complete with toilet and storage facilities, an events space and featured landscaping and lighting has been named the Centenary Way, as part of the Council’s commemorative programme to mark the centenary of Northern Ireland.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery was delighted to officially open the new development:
“This is another fantastic investment by Council into our hugely popular outdoor spaces. We take great pride in the wealth of facilities we offer and this new space at Centenary Way will make the park even more inviting and accessible for our residents.”
