‘Cash for Kids’ to add fresh colour to Stormont!

Stormont Estate is set to be awash with colour on Saturday 20 May – and it won’t only be due to the bluebells and spring flowers which appeal to its thousands of visitors.

Cool FM will be staging its Cash for Kids’ Colour Dash in the grounds of the Estate, with the sole purpose of supporting local children and young people who have been impacted by poverty and the cost-of-living crisis.

Supported by Iceland, the new and improved route offers a 2.5km or 5km run, catering for all ages and abilities.

While tickets to participate in the Colour Dash itself sold out within days of the launch, Cool FM is calling for families, friends, and supporters to come along to cheer on the runners and enjoy an action-packed event.  A team of face-painters will be on hand to bring a further dash of colour to the event with all proceeds going to Cash for Kids.

Hosted by Cool FM’s Breakfast Team, the morning will also feature a live music set from DJ Pete Snodden to keep spirits high, rain or shine.

Clare McGimpsey, Charity Manager for Cash for Kids Northern Ireland commented;

“We’ve been blown away by the support our first Colour Dash. It’s wonderful to see so many people keen to get involved for such a good cause.  Every penny raised will provide vital support for children and young people across NI who are struggling to cope.

“Whether you’re running, spectating, sponsoring a friend, or making an online donation, every penny helps to make a difference to a child’s life.”
