Ahoghill woman raises much needed funds for Air Ambulance in memory of friend

In September, Jaimie McGrath from Ahoghill completed the Great North Run in memory of Naomi Lynn who sadly passed away in a road traffic collision on the 19 February 2020.

Jaimie had originally set her sights on raising £1k for the charity Air Ambulance Northern Ireland but she smashed this target, with the help from 58 generous supporters and managed to raise a total of £1,250!

Jaimie commented that she thoroughly enjoyed the half marathon run and the atmosphere from the crowd was electric.

Kerry Anderson, Head of Fundraising at Air Ambulance NI said:

“It was so lovely to welcome Jamie to base and show her the service she is benevolently supporting. We are sincerely grateful for Jaimie’s meaningful donation in memory of Naomi and want to say a massive well done to Jaimie for completing her running challenge.”

Well done Jaimie!
