Police appeal for information following arson attack in Randalstown


Detectives in Antrim are appealing for information following a fire at a business premises in the New Street area of Randalstown yesterday evening, Friday 8 October.



Sergeant McKendry said:


“Officers and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the address, having received a report of the incident at around 8.45pm.


“Two vans were damaged in the blaze, which then spread to a nearby workshop which also sustained significant damage.



“NIFR officers extinguished the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.


“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously to contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1961 of 08/10/21.”
