Northern Ireland Hospice has extended a heartfelt thank you to Belfast Brunch Co following the huge success of their recent charity event, which raised an impressive £21,035.89 to support palliative care services across the region.

The high-energy fundraiser took place at the Tullyglass House Hotel in Ballymena on Friday 21st March, drawing a lively crowd for a night of R&B classics, community spirit, and charitable giving.

Hosted by the dynamic Belfast Brunch Co, the event delivered its signature blend of music and fun, with renowned Belfast DJ and Producer Blasé alongside club DJ and radio personality JON BOI keeping spirits high on the night.

Northern Ireland Hospice expressed gratitude not only to the organising team but to all those who contributed to the event’s remarkable success. “Thanks for the fun fundraiser, Belfast Brunch Co!” a spokesperson said, praising the team’s creativity and energy.

The event, dubbed an R&B sing-along party with purpose, was further supported by a host of local businesses, including Ballymena & Causeway Credit Union (BCCU), Change for Life Gym, Emily’s Eco Cleaners, The Scenic Inn, and The Party Mill. Their backing played a key role in ensuring the event’s success and raising awareness of the Hospice’s vital work.

A standout moment came courtesy of esteemed Ballymena artist Carly Wright, who donated an original piece of artwork that was raffled on the night, helping to further boost fundraising totals. Her contribution, like so many others, highlighted the depth of community support behind the cause.

In light of the night’s overwhelming success, Northern Ireland Hospice has officially been named Belfast Brunch Co’s Charity of the Year, with discussions already under way for a follow-up event in 2026.

Organisers are hopeful the next event will build on this year’s triumph and continue to support essential Hospice services.

“This was more than just a party – it was a community coming together to make a real difference,” said a Belfast Brunch Co representative.

In further exciting news for the charity, the new Ballymena Hospice Shop, located on Wellington Street, is set to open its doors on Thursday 15th May, providing the public with a new way to support Hospice work locally while shopping sustainably.

A spokesperson for NI Hospice commented:

“We’re busy putting the finishing touches on the inside, and our amazing team is working hard to get everything just right.

“We’ll be opening on Thursday, 15th May, on Wellington Street, and we can’t wait to welcome you in! But we need your help to make it a success.

“If you have any pre-loved clothes, books, or bric-a-brac, we’d love to take them off your hands as donations. And if you have a few hours to spare, why not join our warm, welcoming team of volunteers and help make a real difference in your community?”
