LEGO your inner creativity and help build Carrickfergus

Prepare to be enthralled by LEGO® as Brick Built! comes to Carrickfergus.

One of the world’s most popular and fun exhibitions, will see a scale model of Carrickfergus Castle made out of Lego bricks and displayed in the Museum & Civic Centre.

LEGO® fever has always gripped the world but it’s about to take over Mid and East Antrim with this very unique display.

Just like LEGO® bricks, the focus will be on simple, straight forward fun through using your imagination to build.

From the end of October through to January the exhibition will be on display in the museum’s exhibition gallery, where a fabulous collection of iconic buildings from around the world and throughout history will be on display.

In the mall area will be a giant play mat showing a bird’s eye view of 17thcentury Carrickfergus, when it was a walled town and still one of the most important towns in the north.

Visitors are invited to get hands on to rebuild the historic town including the stunning Joymount palace and the medieval St Nicholas’s church. Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor William McCaughey, said:

“This is a unique event which is coming to Carrickfergus and one that the entire family can get involved in.

“I would encourage everyone to come along while the exhibition is in situ and put your creativity to the test.”

The exhibition will open to the public on 30th October and will be there until 8th January.

This exhibition is being delivered in partnership with Carrickfergus Townscape Heritage Initiative and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
