Weir Travel, which has shops both in Ballymena and Coleraine, has today (Wednesday 28 December) announced that it will close as a ‘result of the ongoing Covid situation’.
The company has been a popular choice for travellers over the last nine years.
In a statement Weir Travel said:
“It is with deep sadness and as a result of the ongoing Covid situation that we have made the hard decision to close our shops.
“All our customers holidays are safe and will be taken over by Barrhead Travel. They will be in touch over the next few weeks and will advise of contact numbers and how to make payments, collect tickets and other queries you may have.
“We want to thank all our loyal customers for their support over the last 9 years.
“It has been an honour to assist so many customers with their holidays.
“We also want to thank our staff for all their hard work and dedication, especially over the last couple of years.”
