Ballymena lad, Scott Montgomery, has just signed a contract with professional side Dubai City FC.

The 18-year-old who has just completed his A Levels at Cambridge House, has signed on a one year deal, with the option of an extension.

Hailing from Broughshane, Scott was picked up by Dubai City’s head coach while attending a UK football trials camp in England earlier this year.

The gifted central midfielder started his career at the Ballymena mini soccer set up before completing the entire Ballymena United Youth Academy back in 2019.

He has since gone on to gain appearances in Ballymena reserves and feature in Club NI’s set up for several years.

The youngster was set for a 4 year scholarship in the United States, with offers from a number of colleges, before eventually changing his mind to go professional in the UAE.

Scott is set to fly out in late August to begin full pre-season training with the squad and is said to be extremely excited for this huge forthcoming opportunity.
