Ballymena optometrist Clive Fulton marks one year of eyecare excellence in Galgorm

A year after opening his doors to the local community, Ballymena-born optometrist Clive Fulton has proudly celebrated the first anniversary of his independent clinic, Clive Fulton Eyecare, located in the heart of Galgorm.

With over 15 years of experience in the field, Clive’s journey in optometry began when he graduated from the University of Ulster in 2008, soon becoming a member of the College of Optometrists.

His career has since spanned a diverse range of settings, including both primary and secondary care, alongside a strong emphasis on continuing professional development.

In 2011, he completed a postgraduate diploma in the theory of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, expanding his clinical expertise while maintaining a presence in active practice.

Between 2012 and 2015, Clive honed his skills in the Hospital Optometry Service, engaging in a wide variety of clinics including Paediatric Refraction, Low Vision, Contact Lenses, and the Macular Service. This hands-on experience provided Clive with a solid foundation in delivering specialised and compassionate eyecare.

In later years, Clive returned to independent practice in both Belfast and his native Ballymena. However, his longstanding ambition was to establish his own practice – a vision that became reality in April 2024 with the opening of Clive Fulton Eyecare at 2 Galgorm Court, Raphael Way.

The clinic is purposefully designed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where each patient benefits from personal attention and the very latest in diagnostic technology. The practice also offers a curated range of contemporary and stylish eyewear options.

Reflecting on the milestone, after the one year anniversary celebration, Clive said:
