Donnolly Group celebrates long service milestone at with Lisa Gormley at their Ballymena showroom
Fifteen years in one workplace is an increasingly rare milestone — but at Donnelly Group’s Ballymena showroom, it’s being celebrated as a mark of loyalty, experience and long-term career growth.
Lisa Gormley has reached her 15-year landmark with the company, a significant achievement within one of Northern Ireland’s leading employers and the region’s largest independently owned motor retailer. Her milestone not only reflects personal dedication, but also highlights the strength of long-term careers within the organisation.
Her anniversary comes as Donnelly Group continues its long-service recognition initiative, designed to reward employees at every five-year service milestone with an additional day of paid annual leave.
The programme formally recognises the contribution, commitment and expertise of staff who choose to build their careers within the business over many years.
Róisín Donnelly, spokesperson for Donnelly Group, said:
“Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and long-service milestones are an important opportunity to shine a light on the loyalty and expertise our employees bring to the business.
“It is especially meaningful to reward so many colleagues who have built their careers with us over many years, helping to shape our culture and uphold the high standards our customers expect.
“Creating an environment where people feel supported, valued and encouraged to progress is a key priority for us, and the strength of long-term service across our locations reflects this focus.”
Since the introduction of the initiative, more than 420 employees across the Group have received long-service awards — a figure the company says underlines the depth of experience across its operations.
Alongside its recognition programme, Donnelly Group continues to invest in its workforce through competitive pay, a focus on work-life balance, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
The approach is aimed at supporting employees at every stage of their careers while strengthening retention across its sites.
For staff in Ballymena and beyond, Lisa’s 15-year milestone serves as a reminder that sustained careers in the motor retail sector remain possible — and valued.
