Two teenagers arrested in connection with Ballymoney blaze


Detectives investigating a fire at a premises in the Ballymena Road area of Ballymoney on Monday 22 November have made two arrests.


The two males, aged in their teens, were taken to Coleraine Police Station for questioning.



They have both been bailed pending further enquiries.


The fire at the former Fleming Poultry Factory quickly spread and was declared a Major Incident by the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS), who battled hours throughout the night to bring it under control.

At the peak of the incident over 100 firefighters, including 9 Officers, 15 pumping appliances and 10 specialist appliances were on scene dealing with the blaze.
