Autism NI encourage everyone to ‘Be Kind to Different Minds’ this World Autism Acceptance Week

Autism NI is celebrating World Autism Acceptance Week from Monday 27th March until Sunday 2nd April 2023, and encouraging everyone to get behind their important message, ‘Be Kind To Different Minds’.

This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get involved and show their support for our vibrant autism community.

Autism NI’s CEO, Kerry Boyd, comments:

“I would encourage the wider public to get behind our key message ‘Be Kind to Different Minds’ this World Autism Acceptance Week and learn more about how to support our autistic community.

"Autistic people are our friends, family neighbours and work colleagues. We want to build an inclusive society in Northern Ireland and give our autistic community the best tools and opportunities to live fulfilled lives.

"With over 35,000 autistic people across Northern Ireland, it is vital that we raise awareness and create a greater understanding and acceptance of autistic people within our wider society. Let’s start by seeing things from another perspective and be kind to different minds.”

Autism NI provides vital services for autistic people and their families throughout Northern Ireland, and campaigns for autism understanding and acceptance within society.
