Area cordoned off after body discovered in Ballymena

Police and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the Sentry Hill area of Ballymena after a body was discovered in the early hours of Monday morning, 25 July.
One regular dog walker in the area said he was shocked when he came across the scene this morning shortly after 5am, with an area of trees cordoned off and the emergency vehicles at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said:
“Police are currently in attendance at the scene of a sudden death in the Sentry Hill area of Ballymena.
“It is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
“There are no further details.”
