Appeal for information following break in at business premises in Ballymena

Police in Ballymena are investigating a report of a person acting suspiciously in the Broughshane Street area of the town early this morning, Thursday 4th May.


Inspector Bryan said:


“At around 6.15am, a person, who was described as being dressed in a dark coloured hoody with the hood up, camouflage trousers, and dark coloured trainers, was observed exiting commercial premises in the area carrying a large blue bag.



“The person was reported to have made off on foot before turning into a car park in the Alexander Street area.


“It was reported that damage had been caused to a glass panel in the front door of the premises. It has not been established at this stage if anything has been taken.


“Enquiries are continuing, and anyone who may have any information which may assist us is asked to contact 101, and quote reference number 255 of 04/05/23.”

This morning owner of Real Health, located across from Cameron's on Broughshane Street shared a post o social media (above). A spokesperson for the business added:


"Urgent: Our Ballymena shop has been broken into overnight. Lots of damage. It will therefore be closed until further notice."
