Aer Lingus Regional celebrates flying over one million passengers at Belfast City Airport

Emerald Airlines, the largest operator out of Belfast City Airport and the exclusive operator of the Aer Lingus Regional network, celebrates a major milestone of flying over one million passengers through Belfast City Airport. This achievement comes less than two years after the carrier's first flight from the Northern Irish Capital.    

 

Debbie Connolly, travelling on flight EI3652 from Belfast City Airport to Edinburgh was awarded two complimentary, roundtrip tickets to use anywhere on the Aer Lingus Regional route network.

 


Commenting on the announcement, Ian Lough, Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines said:


“This marks a significant milestone for us at Emerald Airlines. We began operating from Belfast City Airport less than two years ago and now to fly our one millionth passenger in such a short time frame is an achievement we are extremely proud of.

"Since the commencement of our operations from Belfast City Airport, we have successfully developed the leading network connecting Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Aer Lingus Regional’s bumper Winter 2023 Schedule is well-underway, with over 1.1 million seats on sale now.
