Police Tactical Support Unit boats team board vessel and seize drugs in Carrickfergus

Police officers from PSNI Tactical Support Unit boats boarded a vessel this afternoon (Monday 16 August) located at Carrickfergus Marina. The vessel was subsequently searched and a quantity of drugs were seized.

A police spokesperson said:

“Our TSG officers are trained in a range of specialist tactics and deliver a highly versatile mobile resource supporting their colleagues across all of Northern Ireland.

“Drug dealing funds criminality, and we will continue to use our plethora of resources to tackle this issue whether its on land or sea.”
