It’s been another great year at the Sunflower Field Portglenone as organisers, couple Karen and Damian McAllister, announced the fabulous fundraising total of £11,875 for Bowel Cancer UK.
Many flocked to the now much-anticipated annual event from across Northern Ireland to enjoy the field filled with bright blooms, and to grab a few snaps and selfies surrounded by the iconic flowers of summer.
Beyond the blooms, romance also blossomed with when Joseph proposed to Leah… and thankfully, she said yes!
Announcing the total for 2021, Karen and Damian thanked the community once again for their support:
“So overwhelmed by all your support for helping to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK.
“Once again thank you all so much for your continued support. Really appreciate it.
“Hopefully we’ll see you all again next year”.

A spokesperson for charity Bowel Cancer UK commented:
“A massive thank you to Karen and Damian McAllister from Sunflower Field Portglenone. They've managed to raise almost £12,000 for us and we're completely overwhelmed by the generosity.
“Each year the couple choose a different charity to raise money for, and this year Karen chose us in tribute to her mother Anna McKay, who was in her early 80s when she sadly passed away earlier this year.
“We honestly cannot thank you enough!”
