Craig Farquhar signs professional deal with Sky Blues

BALLYMENA United have announced that Craig Farquhar has agreed a professional contract with Ballymena United.

The 18-year-old centre half has been a mainstay as captain of the reserve side this season, and commits to a three year deal with his home town club.

Manager, David Jeffrey, was delighted to announce the news on Thursday evening. He said:

"Following the progression of Spencer Beattie and Jordan McMullan to the professional ranks in the past year, we're delighted to promote yet another young player who is showing real potential for a big future here.

“Craig is another young man who we have worked a lot with in the first team squad and his application and ability in the reserve games has been first class.

“He is another local lad with the talent and potential to progress and we're excited to see that develop over the next few years.

“There's little doubt that if he continues at this pace he's going to emulate the likes of Leroy Millar in terms of impact on his home town club.”
