Police in Mid & East Antrim seize quantity of drugs and £100,000 in cash


Police in Mid and East Antrim continue to make in impact on the distribution of illegal drugs and linked criminality in the Borough, seizing a quantity of Class B and Class C, along with £100,000 in cash, during proactive search operations over the last 24 hours.

A spokesperson for Police Mid and East Antrim said:


“The team here in Mid and East Antrim continue to be proactive in disrupting the sale and supply of illegal and dangerous drugs and tackling related criminality across the District.


“Two houses were searched by officers from Tactical Support Group in Carrickfergus in the last 24 hours and four people searched - a quantity of Class B and Class C drugs were seized along with £100,000 in cash.


“Our enquiries into the matter are continuing. We are committed to acting on information from the community regarding those involved in the supply of drugs and working with our partners to keep you and your families safe.”
