Rightech, the electric truck and midi-bus division of Wrightbus, has announced a new strategic collaboration with Ferronordic as its official after-sales partner in Germany.
Ferronordic, which employs around 800 staff globally, is a recognised name in the truck and machinery sector, specialising in sales, repairs and maintenance of vehicles, engines, spare parts and attachments. In Germany, the company operates as the official dealer for Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks, with 20 service points strategically positioned across the country.
The new partnership will provide customers of Rightech’s RT75 electric truck with manufacturer-level service, local accessibility and rapid response times. Ferronordic’s technicians have been specially trained on Rightech’s electric truck systems and diagnostic tools to deliver support at the highest standard.
Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Rightech, said:
“Our deals with Ferronordic in Germany and Sapphire Vehicle Services in the UK show that we’re backing the product with the best service partners on the market.
We chose Ferronordic because of our shared commitment to sustainability. The partnership supports both companies’ mission to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission commercial vehicles across Europe.”
Under the agreement, Rightech will continue to manage all vehicle sales, while Ferronordic will act as the main service and support provider for customers in Germany.
Mr Gales added:
“We really want to enhance the customer experience. This cooperation ensures peace of mind for fleet operators by offering reliable, local service from day one.”
Koenraad Van Imschoot, Ferronordic’s Aftermarket Director, said:
“We are looking forward to working with Rightech, which is known for innovation, and we are happy to support them as a partner in the service sector in Germany.”
The RT75, a 7.5-tonne electric truck, was unveiled earlier this year to strong industry acclaim. All sales come with a Wrightbus warranty, a service and maintenance package, as well as access to the UK’s largest fleet of mobile technicians. Customers also benefit from dedicated OEM sales and marketing support, telematics software and advanced route optimisation tools.
The collaboration with Ferronordic complements Rightech’s wider European support network. In the UK, a deal with Sapphire Vehicle Services adds 19 workshops to Wrightbus’ existing service bases in Ballymena, Bicester and Warwick. A regional service headquarters in Brühl already anchors the company’s German operations, with additional sales and service agreements covering France and the Benelux region.
Rightech customers will also have access to Ryze Power, part of Wrightbus owner Jo Bamford CBE’s net zero portfolio, which provides advanced charging infrastructure and expertise. Meanwhile, W-Tech – a technology and research centre established by Wrightbus in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast – supports fleet efficiency through data-driven optimisation.
The new truck range, developed under a strategic framework agreement with two Chinese manufacturers, has been extensively tested, validated and homologated by Wrightbus engineers, with more than 30,000 hours invested to meet Wrightbus’ standards.
Reflecting on the company’s pioneering role in clean transport, Mr Gales said:
“Wrightbus has been flying the flag for zero emissions long before anyone else. Our hydrogen double-decker was the world’s first and we have 2,000 electric buses on the road, covering millions of miles across the UK and Europe with an in-service availability of 98.6%.”
The partnership marks a major step in strengthening after-sales service for Rightech’s expanding European electric truck fleet.
