A woman has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle road traffic collision in Bellaghy on Sunday evening, with police now appealing for witnesses and motorists with dashcam footage to come forward.
The crash happened in the Ballymacombs Road area of Bellaghy shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday, April 12, prompting an emergency response and the temporary closure of the road.
Police said the woman’s injuries are not believed to be serious at this time.
The road remained closed for a period while the scene was dealt with, causing disruption in the area, but has since fully reopened to traffic.
Police enquiries ongoing after Sunday evening collision
The PSNI confirmed that enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are continuing.
Officers are now seeking assistance from the public as they work to establish exactly how the three-vehicle collision occurred.
Anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash, or who may have captured the incident or the moments leading up to it on dashcam, CCTV, or other video footage, is being urged to contact police.
A PSNI spokesperson said:
“Police received a report of a three-vehicle road traffic collision in the Ballymacombs Road area of Bellaghy shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday, April 12.
“A woman was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be serious at this time.
“The road was closed for some time but has since reopened.
“Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information, including dashcam, CCTV or other footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1121 of 12/4/26.”

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling through the Ballymacombs Road area around the time of the incident and who has not yet spoken to officers.
