Police received a report of an assault in the Castle Street area of Ballymena at around 7pm on Monday, March 28.
It was reported on the morning of Tuesday, March 28, that the previous evening, a woman was assaulted by a man while walking along the street.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, although the injured party has been left shaken.
The suspect is described as being around 170cm tall and approximately 50 years old. It is understood he did not speak English.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or who may have dashcam or other footage, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 252 of 28/03/22.
