The number of new episodes decreased in week 31, at 2017 from 2344 in week 30.

The 20-29 year-old age group also saw an increase in episode rate compared to the previous week, whilst the remaining age groups saw a decrease.
Episode rates per 100,000 population were highest in 30-39 year-olds (148.2 per 100,000 population)

There were 10 new outbreaks reported in week 31; an increase in the number of new outbreaks compared to the previous week.

There has been a pause to this week’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Survey (Friday 12th August 2022) due to changes in data collection methods. Results from the survey will next be published Friday 19th August 2022.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon and Newry, Mourne and Down saw an increase in episode rate compared to the previous week, whilst the remaining local government districts saw a decrease.
