The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning today saying a period of heavy rain may bring disruption to transport and infrastructure across Northern Ireland.
The weather warning is effective from 9:00pm this evening, Monday 11th to 07:00am on Tuesday 12th December.
A Met Office spokesperson commented:
"A band of rain will push north across all of Northern Ireland this evening and into Tuesday.
"Rain will be heavy at times with most areas seeing 10-15 mm. The wettest spots, likely those exposed to brisk east or southeasterly winds across the eastern half of Northern Ireland, could see 25-30 mm of rain.
"Given recent wet weather and saturated ground, some disruption from flooding is likely. Rain will clear to scattered showers by dawn."
