Victoria Square Student Social brings prizes, pop-ups and exclusive offers to Belfast
Tuesday 06 October 2026
Students are being offered a night of exclusive discounts, competitions, giveaways and entertainment today as Victoria Square brings back its popular Student Social.
The event which runs from 4pm to 7pm will combine one-night-only savings across fashion, food, beauty and more with interactive challenges giving students the chance to walk away with prizes. Student ID will be required to access the offers.
Five minutes to spend £100
Among the headline attractions is the Student Social Sweep, where students can spin a wheel for instant prizes — with one result unlocking a fast-paced £100 shopping challenge.
Anyone who lands on “SWEEP” will be given five minutes to spend £100 in a selected store. The catch is that going over the £100 limit means they are bust.
Students can also try their luck at The Vault, attempting to crack a code and unlock a safe to claim the prize inside, while free tarot readings will be available throughout the evening.
Dance battle and giveaways
BeatBox will bring its Bring The Beat Battle to Victoria Square, challenging students to compete on an interactive dance mat and chase the highest score of the night.
The top performer will have the chance to win a star prize for their halls, with BeatBox sampling and giveaways also taking place.
Host Vicki Aiken will provide music and surprises on the mall throughout the night, alongside a series of pop-up brands and student favourites.
Dale Farm, BOOST, Starbucks, It’s Giving, Sloan’s Gym and The LimeLight are among those set to take part, with stalls, sampling, treats and giveaways promised.
One-night-only student offers
Retailers and businesses across Victoria Square will also be running student savings covering fashion, food, beauty and other categories for the night.
Students should bring valid student ID to take advantage of the discounts and offers. Further details on participating retailers and available deals can be found on the Victoria Square website.
With shopping challenges, prizes, entertainment and discounts all brought together under one roof, the Student Social offers students another chance to make their budget stretch further while enjoying a night out in Belfast.
