Today, Monday 19th December, two 48 year old men were both sentenced at Laganside Crown court.
Dennis Allen and Philip Hall originally from the Ballymena area, were both sentenced for a number of offences including rape and indecent assault.
Dennis Allen was sentenced to 14 years. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
Philip Hall was sentenced to 4 years. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
Detective Inspector Kelly Gallagher said:
“What happened to the victims in this case, who were children at the time of the offending, was nothing short of horrific.
“They have shown incredible bravery throughout the entire criminal justice process.
“We take allegations of this nature extremely seriously and will provide support at every step of the way to ensure justice is served.
“We urge anyone who has experienced any form of sexual abuse to report to police. Do not suffer in silence.
“Call 101 or 999 in cases of emergency.”
