Advertorial
One of Ireland’s best-known voices is coming to Ballymena this autumn, with Tommy Fleming choosing the town as one of the first stops on his brand new Encore Tour.
The acclaimed singer will take to the stage at Tullyglass Hotel on Thursday 1 October 2026, bringing his band and a new live show to local audiences as he looks forward to getting back in front of fans following what has been a turbulent few months.
And there is more new music on the horizon, with Fleming also working towards a new album as he begins the next chapter of a career that has taken him to stages around the world.
A new show and a fresh chapter
After more than 35 years entertaining audiences, Fleming has built a remarkably loyal following through a voice and performance style that can make even the most familiar song feel entirely his own.
The Encore Tour marks his return to the stage with a new live production, and Ballymena fans will be among the first audiences to experience it when the tour arrives at Tullyglass Hotel.
Organisers say the Ballymena show is already selling quickly, with tickets available through Ticketmaster Ireland.
For Fleming, the return to touring is also an opportunity to move forward and focus again on what has defined much of his life — performing live and connecting with audiences through music.
The songs audiences know and love
Those heading to Tullyglass can expect the powerful interpretations that have become Fleming’s trademark over more than three decades.
He is particularly renowned for his arrangements of “Danny Boy”, “Isle of Inisfree” and “Hard Times”, taking songs deeply familiar to many Irish audiences and reshaping them in his own distinctive style.
His repertoire has also embraced much-loved songs including “You Raise Me Up”, “Bridge over Troubled Waters”, “From a Distance” and “Something Inside So Strong”, alongside contemporary material.
It is that ability to move between traditional, contemporary and more orchestral sounds that has made Fleming difficult to confine to any single musical genre — and helped his concerts appeal to audiences across generations.
A career that has travelled the world
Fleming’s career has taken him far beyond Ireland, building an international fanbase and performing for audiences around the globe.
Along the way he has toured with major names including Elaine Paige and the late Kenny Rogers, while his recording career has brought collaborations with Vince Gill, Christy Hennessy, Phil Coulter, Lucie Silvas, Cara Dillon, Eleanor Shanley, De Dannan and Mark Vincent.
But despite the scale of that career, the heart of a Tommy Fleming show remains relatively simple: a distinctive voice, a band, memorable songs and the connection created between performer and audience.
This October, Ballymena gets an early opportunity to experience the next version of that live show.
