Thousands of fans descend on Belfast International Airport for UEFA Supercup


Belfast International Airport says thousands of fans arrived at the travel hub throughout today for the UEFA Supercup, the first major club football competition to be held in Belfast.


Charter flights arriving from Valencia brought Villa Real fans in for the match while Chelsea fans arrived in their droves on the numerous London flights.


The Villa Real fans will depart Belfast International Airport on charter flights, including a Boeing 787 Dreamliner directly after the match.

“It’s been a long time since we have seen our apron so busy! Aircraft parked up for teams fans in Belfast for UEFA Super Cup!”
