This week’s update, providing all the latest statistics for Covid infections in Northern Ireland.

The number of new episodes decreased in week 30, at 2334 from 3395 in week 29.

All age groups have had a decrease in cases. Episode rates per 100,000 population were highest in 40-49 year-olds (177.7 per 100,000 population).

There were 8 new outbreaks reported in week 30; a decrease in the number of new outbreaks compared to the previous week.



Below: Estimates of the percentage of people in NI testing who would have tested positive for COVID-19.


In the study week ending 25 July 2022, the estimated number of people testing positive for COVID-19 was 109800 (95% credible interval: 83500 to 138300). This equates to 5.98% of the population or around 1 in 17 people. This has decreased slightly from 1 in 16 people the previous week.

All local government districts and all age groups have had a decrease in cases.
