Ryanair has announced the launch of three new routes connecting UK travellers to the snowy landscapes of Lapland for Winter 2025/26, with return flights departing twice weekly from Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.
The low-cost airline, known for its extensive European network, confirmed the routes today (Tuesday, 5 August), as part of its Winter Lapland-Rovaniemi schedule. The addition comes as families and adventure-seekers begin planning festive getaways to the official home of Santa Claus.
Jade Kirwan, Ryanair’s Director of Communications, said:
“Christmas has come early for our UK customers with the launch of Ryanair’s Winter 2025/26 Lapland schedule, offering 2x weekly return flights across three new routes, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.”
Lapland, located in northern Finland, has long been a favourite for seasonal travellers. Known for its sparkling snow-covered forests, reindeer and husky sleigh rides, and the chance to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights, it offers a dreamlike escape from everyday life.
“Lapland is like waking up in a dream,” added Ms Kirwan, “filled with magical experiences that you will share forever, including miles of glistening snow, reindeer & husky rides, snowball fights, the northern lights, Christmas-themed parks and of course, home to the big man himself.”
The new Ryanair flights are set to make the magic of Lapland more accessible than ever, especially for families looking to visit Rovaniemi, the region’s capital and recognised “official hometown of Santa Claus.”
Travellers can book their Winter 2025/26 Lapland flights now via ryanair.com.
“It’s never too early to start your Christmas planning,” Ms Kirwan advised.
