PSNI Road Policing Interceptor teams apprehended a number of uninsured drivers on Friday, 5th January, in the Ballymena area.
Altogether, three uninsured drivers were detected on the roads, and two vehicles seized, including the Ford Mondeo pictured above. One of these vehicles was seized after it had been abandoned and was using the registration number from another vehicle.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland commented on Saturday, saying:
"Road Policing Interceptors working in Ballymena yesterday stopped this Mondeo that was being driven by an uninsured driver.
"The driver was dealt with by means of an Endorsable Fixed Penalty Notice and the vehicle was seized.
"Two other drivers were also detected driving whilst uninsured by the team in Ballymena.
"In a seperate incident a vehicle bearing the registration of a similar make and model was also seized after it was abandoned."
